It's the first article that comes up. If you're in the mood for a good rant about government stupidity, this is a good starting point.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5590465.post-38109630910576286432007-06-12T23:55:00.000-04:002007-06-12T23:55:00.000-04:00And now for something completely different:Try che...And now for something completely different:

Try chewing on this one.

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1630561,00.htmlAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5590465.post-1134193912798957952007-06-12T18:15:00.000-04:002007-06-12T18:15:00.000-04:00Well, it's not 'news', but I'm interested in your ...Well, it's not 'news', but I'm interested in your take on the link I'd posted in another thread:

Catholic blogger Jimmy Akin on five possible interpretations of Genesis One.

I am interested in follow up to the great series of questions you raised:

The main problem is what to do with Genesis. If it is a literal account of things, then evolution is off the table. If it's not literal but figurative, then some "fudge room" is available. However, anything less than a 100% literal interpretation makes for complicated theology. To what degree is it literal and to what degree is if figurative? Was Adam a real person? Cain and Abel? Abraham? And if Adam is not a real person, then what is the role of the fall of man? Or is that real at all?

I am also interested in having some sort of Internet Christian book discussion where we read the same book and then email regularly about it. Two possible books I had in mind are Early Christian Doctrines by Anglican J.N.D. Kelly, which I want to read, or Paul for Everyone: Romans: Part One by Anglican N.T. Wright, which I've already started. Or, I'm open to other suggestions. I would mail you a free copy of whatever book we read, if you're interested.

-Ryan.
